We had gotten T'Challa's skin disease under control and he was doing fine. Then a couple of weeks ago, he vomited 3 days in a row so I took him to our vet who diagnosed him with liver cancer. He gradually deteriorated, eating less and less, staying in his bed most of the time or he would just drift around the house looking at me with pleading eyes. So yesterday we arranged to have him put down to end his suffering and I held him until he peacefully passed over. I appreciate all your support with all our old dogs. Joy Yule is still with us - overly friendly to all humans. I think she acts as my husband’s support dog! Since she’s only around 4, I hope she will be here for a long time.
Tami succumbed to her congenital heart disease, but had a grand life in DRoH. At intake, she was given only a few months to live, but fooled us all and was a DRoH dog for nearly 3 years. Her foster mom is grieving as we all are. It's always hard to say goodbye.
My heart is broken. We lost Teddy today. I loved this pupmore than anything in life right now. I'm so happy he explored the USA, Canada and Bahamas with us. We traveled around on our boat and Teddy loved going to new places with new smells. We loved him so much. Be free buddy and run the world like you wanted! He’s been such a wonderful companion to us and we thank you and DRoH for the opportunity to get to know such a kind soul. He will always be in our hearts. R.I.P. sweet Deacon. Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
