Elizabeth and her companion Philip (click here for Philip's profile) came to us on April 21, 2016. A little shy but so willing to explore in a very short amount of time. They walk together. They sleep together. They nap together. They eat together. They are truly a bonded pair. Elizabeth is the alpha female with her observant Phillip following her lead. She might be okay leaving Phillip but the other way around Phillip would cry a river of tears for his lost love. Both of these dogs are well behaved and get along with other dogs. They have good manners and are respectful of each other at meal times. Their training has been done with care and consistency. Elizabeth can sit for her treats. She’s very delicate, ladylike and her coat is very silky soft. Phillip has excellent features with a stunning red and white coat that has the shape of a heart on one side. He is the delightful charming prince we wished we all could find. He loves to be in your lap. His eyes are always watchful and looking for any time he can be with you for a cuddle. Once he has landed a spot in your lap it won’t be long till you are joined by Elizabeth as well. Affectionate doesn’t even start to describe these two. They are house trained and have been reliable in that area. They both sleep well in a crate at night. The best situation for these two would be if they could be where someone was home with them but they do well when left alone if they are together. They are a joy to watch as the morning brings on a little playful romp before breakfast. Their barking level is low but will burst out with joy if a squirrel comes down the fence line. We haven’t had much time to test them on leash but will be working with them in the coming weeks. If you’re entertaining the idea of adopting two I think you will find this match to be your perfect pairing.
