Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Hi, I’m Alania, and I will be the most loving, affectionate, loyal friend to my forever person or family once you find me.​ ​ I had a hard life before DROH, and I was so scared at first, but my foster mom helped me realize that people can be loving and kind to me and take care of me.​ ​ Now that I know this, I have much less stress and am so happy going on walks and cuddling on the couch.​ ​ My favorite thing in the world is to snuggle close to my foster mom on the couch or the big bed and be petted.​ ​ I also like to give lots of kisses to show how much I love you!​ ​ I’m still learning lots of new things, like how to not be scared of noises around the house, and how to get used to my crate, but I’ve really opened up and made tons of progress in just a week of foster care.​ I’m very good about taking baths and letting my foster mom wipe my feet when we come in from outside.​ ​ I’m not so sure about squeaky toys yet, they confuse me, but I sure do like treat bones to chew on.​ ​ Even though I’m young, I’m a pretty chilled out dog, but I do like to come check on you often to make sure you are paying attention to me and can give me some loving!​ ​ I would be so happy to find a house where my people stay home a lot and like to cuddle as much as I do.​
