Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Oliver is a very good boy.  He slept in his crate without complaining.  He likes to chew toys, so toys with squeakers and stuffing and plastic parts should be avoided. I have a Nyla chewable bone he loves and an antler chew that he also loves.  He does much better on a retractable leash. We've had some accidents in the house, but since I started using the retractable leash, this situation has improved.

He is great around my dogs and today he met an unleashed labrador and was friendly and not afraid. I haven't seen him around a cat yet, but I would say he's fine to be in a household with other dogs -- even big dogs. He has yet to snarl or even curl back his lips, even when Callie jumps on him.  He is trying to make friends with Nixie who is much more accepting of him today than she was yesterday.  She tolerates more than befriends, but I think once Callie gets over being jealous, she and Oliver will be good friends.

He loves to snuggle in my lap, and he is something of a barker. I think once he settles into apartment life, he won't bark as much, but we'll see. 

He's affectionate and follows me everywhere.  He likes to jump on things like the edge of the bathtub and once even the toilet! (Good thing he didn't fall in!  I thought only cats did that!) 

He comes when I call him.  He eats everything in his bowl, but I have to be in the kitchen with him when he eats or he won't finish. (And then if I'm not paying attention, Callie swoops in to eat what's left.) 

He's pretty active, but right now he's sleeping on my fleecy bathrobe. It fell off the back of my chair and he's decided it makes a good bed.  :)
