Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

S'mores, a blind double dapple little girl, does not consider herself special needs at all. Everyone she meets is instantly enamored. What she lacks in vision is more than made up in personality and charm. Look at the comments already: from her new foster mom -She is so wonderful! I think she has missed being able to cuddle and sleep. So sad. She is sound asleep on top of me right now and actually hugging me. Only better days ahead though! from her transporter -SPECTACULAR dog. She is sweet, cuddly, loves men & women. She is very independent and loves to explore. Given the opportunity, she will tee-tee outside. She sleeps very nicely thru the night in a crate next to our bed. She fussed a little bit, but settled right down. She does not exhibit any unusual behaviors -- no spinning, no cowering, no fear. She is truly a delight. Lovely girl. Blind dogs see with their hearts. Just one encounter with S'mores and you'll know it is true.
