Buttercup is an adorable Chiweenie with a story that proves even the tiniest pups can have the biggest hearts.

Buttercup’s story began with perfect timing. She came to Dachshund Rescue of Houston with her mama, Willow, who delivered her puppies the very night they arrived at our clinic. While Willow had known hardship and uncertainty, Buttercup and her sisters have known only love, safety, and endless pampering.

At just four days old, Buttercup gave everyone a scare when she began losing weight and needed round-the-clock bottle feeding. It was touch and go for a few days, but this tiny girl proved she had the heart of a fighter. Once she started eating again, she never looked back!

Though she was the smallest of the litter, Buttercup quickly became the leader of the pack. Confident, smart, and full of personality, she keeps up with everyone and then some. She’s a typical playful puppy who loves toys, adventures, and wrestling with her sisters, but her favorite place is snuggled up against your neck, soaking up all the cuddles she can get.

Buttercup is already showing how clever she is and is the star pupil when it comes to using the pee pad. This sweet little survivor is ready to bring joy, laughter, and lots of puppy kisses to a forever family of her own. Could Buttercup be the missing piece your family has been waiting for?
