Poppy is a sweet and affectionate little girl who loves nothing more than cuddling up or napping in your lap. She’s curious about everything going on around her and enjoys being near her people.

Once a bit shy, Poppy has blossomed into a playful pup who’s recently discovered the joy of toys. She loves her walks and struts confidently through the neighborhood, taking in all the sights and smells. She’s doing great with her house training - only a couple of accidents early on  -  and responds happily to praise when she goes outside.

Poppy also enjoys soaking up the sunshine, whether she’s lounging on the grass or stretched out on the outdoor sofa. She’s excellent in the car and enjoys meeting new people. While she may take a moment to warm up, she’s very friendly once she’s had a sniff or two. She hasn’t spent much time around small children yet, but she’s gentle and curious when she sees them on walks.

Treats don’t seem to be her thing, though she won’t turn down a little cheese! She’s polite at mealtime and doesn’t beg at the table, preferring instead to play with her toys or relax nearby. Poppy is becoming more independent and doesn’t mind exploring or relaxing on her own.

At night, she wears a cone to keep her from licking her sutures and sleeps comfortably in her pen on a big pile of blankets. She’s not a fan of the crate right now, mainly because of the cone, but she settles in well for bedtime.

Poppy is a loving, sunny-natured companion who will bring warmth, curiosity, and lots of love to her forever home.
