Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Meet Chorizo - A fun-loving little guy with a big heart! He greets you with tail-wagging excitement every time you walk through the door and brings so much joy to daily life. Though he has plenty of playful puppy energy, he also knows when it’s time to wind down and snuggle up at bedtime.

Like a true dachshund, Chorizo is happiest following his person from room to room, making sure he’s always close by. He enjoys playing with his foster dog siblings and even gets along well with the resident toddler. His favorite things include giving kisses, curling up on your chest, and soaking up all the love he can get.

Chorizo walks nicely on a leash, knows how to sit on command, and is potty trained. He’s not the biggest fan of the crate, but with a treat he’ll settle in just fine.  He doesn't like to be left alone and will vocalize his disapproval.
