Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Davie pup waiting for his forever home! He is a brilliant pup who uses his sense of smell effectively. He quickly learns where the walls/furniture are to easily avoid them. After a couple of assists, he finds his food/water bowl with ease. He likes to by close by, so if you get up off the couch, he will happily follow you down the couch stairs and perk his nose up to follow your scent. Potty training has been a breeze; thanks to using a touch signal to indicate “good boy”. He is still learning the ins and outs of a crate while his foster mom is away, but with a little bit of positive reinforcement, he will get the hang of it. He prefers to sleep with their human, under all the covers by your feet. Easily sleeps through the night, and loves to be waken up with butt rubs as to not startle him.

Update:  Davie has made great progress with crate training! He loves a schedule, so he promptly is up at 7am letting you know that it’s potty time. He prefers to be fed separately from his foster siblings, as he thinks all the food is his and will show his defensive side if he thinks someone is taking it away from him. He also prefers small dogs; his foster mom thinks bigger dogs trigger some past experiences, so a family with other small dogs is ideal.
