Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Fancy Clancy is here and ready to find love! This shy but sweet boy is looking for a home to call his own. Within a week of arriving at his foster home, he has really come out of his shell. Clancy needs someone who will be patient with him as he acclimates to a new home, but after he is warmed up he will be the sweetest little cuddle bug. Clancy follows foster mom around everywhere she goes and does not like to let her out of his sight. He enjoys lounging on the sofa (perched at the highest point) or being a darling lap dog. At night, he snuggles with foster mom in the people bed. Clancy gets along great with his two dachshund foster sisters and even his kitten foster brother,​ who he lets play with him. He makes a wonderful alarm system and can do big AWOOOOs when he senses stranger danger. Clancy has shown no signs of food aggression or resource guarding. He is a lover, not a fighter. He is mostly house trained with only a few small accidents so far. He doesn't particularly enjoy going into​ his crate and makes some complaints about it but eventually settles down and waits patiently for foster mom to return home. Clancy will need some help getting used to a leash as he is a bit scared in the great outdoors, but he loves running around the yard at his foster home. He has been eating well but is slightly particular about treats; so far he loves pumpkin and Dream Bone twist sticks and the occasional carrot. Clancy has a beautiful lion's mane around his neck and loves, loves, loves being petted and scratched. He will make a wonderful, perfect companion to a lucky adopter.​
