Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Cowgirl is a sweet girl who is looking for a family with lots of patience and love. She is very shy and learning to overcome the fear that comes with the big change in her environment. In just a few days Cowgirl has gone from hiding under the bed to asking to be picked up on the couch or people bed with foster mom and siblings and is a wonderful snuggler. With every passing day she trusts foster mom a tiny bit more. She is a bit overweight so needs a family who will help her live her best life by feeding her responsibly and providing her with enough exercise to help drop some of those stubborn pounds. She is an enthusiastic eater and likes most treats. She learned the doggy door all by herself within a few days and will even go outside when the ground is wet! Cowgirl gets along very well with her foster sisters, and is looking for a soft, quiet place to call home. ​
