Meet Dora! Dora is definitely an explorer! She's an adorable two-year-old dachshund that is full of puppy energy. Dora has learned how to ask her foster brothers to play since she's been staying with them, and has also learned that "no" means to ask the other foster brother (or that it's time to play with toys for a little while). Dora is excited to explore each new environment she encounters and will check ahead on walks to let her foster brothers know it's safe. She has quickly learned to walk well on a leash, but sometimes still becomes scared of her harness if it pulls against her in a new way. Dora sleeps well in a kennel when she can see her foster parents, and will only bark a little bit at the beginning if she has to stay in the kennel during the day when her foster parents go to work (just in case they decide to change their mind and skip work to hang out with her!). She is potty trained and hasn't had any accidents in her foster home. Dora takes correction well once she realizes she's the one being corrected - she's always sure it's one of her foster brothers getting in trouble at first - and is happy to nap near her foster parents when they work from home or relax in the evening. She hasn't had a chance to meet any cats or kids at her foster home, so we're unsure how she would do with either. Dora is a super sweet girl with a lot of energy who is looking for the right person to adopt her - could that be you? Apply today!
