Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Matese is a 22 pound Dachshund mix who is in need of a patient owner who will help him overcome some of his fears.  He loves to take walks, is house trained, and loves to cuddle on a couch.  He isn't a fan of most other dogs and would do best in a home without children or a lot of traffic.  He becomes territorial of his home but is great when in public.  He has been taken to Home Depot, pet stores, and restaurants and does great around other people.  He believes it is his job to protect his home so accommodations sometimes have to be made to separate him from visitors he does not know.  Matese loves to lay in the sun but can't be left unattended outside because his breed likes to dig and he sometimes is inquisitive about what is on the other side of the hole he just dug.  Overall, Matese is loyal, loving, and deserves lots of attention from someone who is in search of a wonderful companion.

**Matese is being posted for a partner rescue.  DRoH will handle the application and then forward your request to the partner rescue.
