Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Tuggles (Tugs) he answers to both is a well mannered, calm and dignified gentleman. One of his favorite things is sitting next to his foster Mom in a chair or outside in the glider on the deck. Tugs also enjoys laying in the sun on the deck, supervising yard work and watching squirrels. Tuggles especially loves breakfast and dinner time with a little coconut oil on his food. He is not food aggressive and loves his Trader Joe’s Charlee Bear snacks before bedtime. He knows how to sit quietly for his treats and will politely sit to be leashed to go potty. Tugs is happy to sleep in his comfy kennel all night or sleep in the big human bed with his foster sisters. He is house trained and will let you know when it is time to “go” but needs help going down or getting up small steps to the outside, he has very short Dachshund legs. Tuggles will tolerate short walks but likes to save his energy for napping. He gets along great with his bossy foster sisters, he isn’t toy aggressive and doesn’t chew destructively. He does enjoy chewing on a good beef knuckle. Tugs will sit quietly by your chair and wag his tail when he wants to be picked up. Tuggles is looking for a quiet forever home and a soft lap. He will be a great best friend.
