Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted. We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Opal is a sweet, older gal. She gets along great with the resident dachshunds in her foster home, but doesn't seem to need a dog buddy companion. She likes to go outside and sniff around in the yard. She is potty trained and hasn't had any accidents in the house. Opal has some excess weight and her foster family is working on getting her trimmed down. She isn't food aggressive but does get curious about what the other dogs are eating and will leave her food bowl to check it out. So her foster mom keeps her focused on her own food. Opal sleeps in a doggie bed in her foster's room and she has been sleeping through the night. She is not destructive at all. She rides well in her crate in the car. Opal will make a great companion to her forever family. |
