Please note: Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted before going public. We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

I have a new belly rub video. Check it out and see how cute I am.
My name is Courtney Young and I am looking for my forever family! I am an adventurous, energetic 3-year-old cuddler who loves to be outdoors in my foster dad’s back yard. I love to chase squirrels, birds, possums or another animals that come within view. I’m not terribly fond of being approached by other dogs and for this reason I’m probably best as an “only” four-legged member of a household.
I really enjoy long walks and am good on the leash unless distracted by animals along the way. My foster Dad has taught me to sit for treats and my meals plus waiting to be asked before bolting out the door. I have an excellent appetite and enjoy a variety of treats. At night I enjoy laying on the sofa and getting a good belly rub. I am great with kids and all humans.
One of my bonus features is as a 24-hour sentry. I have different alarm signals for each occasion; from an all-out “call the police” to a muffled “woof” that might not require me to leave the sofa.
I go right in my kennel for treats and sleep through the night most of the time. I prefer to do my business on our walks and not in the house! If you’re interested in having a cute buddy to curl up on the sofa with you, tell them you’re interested in Courtney Young!
