Please note: Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted before going public. We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Morty is a great pup. He house trained very quickly, and never has accidents if you stick to a routine. He loves his people so much, and wants to be with them all the time. (He will sing for you if you go into a room where he can't follow.) :) He loves to eat and is very food motivated. It is easy to train him with a treat, since he wants so much to please you and eat the treat. Sometimes he finishes his kibble before the other dogs and tries to sneak bites out of their bowls, so you do have to watch him at feeding times if you have other dogs.
He gets along well with his foster brothers and sister, but for him, the world revolves around his humans. He loves people, once he gets to know them. He can be a bit shy at first meeting, but once he sees the other dogs saying hi, he has to run over to get some of the love, too. He would do well either in a house with other dogs, or as a single pup - as long as he has his human by his side, he is happy.
His favorite thing is to curl up in your lap and nap while you watch TV. At night, he wants nothing more than to curl up in bed with you and never leave your side. If you are looking for a pup who will love you to the moon and back, then Morty is the pup for you!
