Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

As you can see Zuzu's eyes are the sweetest, second only to her personality.  She is very loving and very smart but currently lacks confidence.  In first meeting Zuzu, she was so anxious and nervous that she couldn't hold in her bladder  and submissively pee'd. We immediately started work on this and Zuzu began learning many new things to gain this confidence back. She has quickly learned that all she needed was a little love and praise to help her shine. S he has learned a routine meal schedule, how and when to potty outside, and is currently learning how to come, sit and stay, all in a matter of a couple of weeks.   This work continues and the submissive peeing issue can still arise, but has been exponentially reduced by simply calming her, (and yourself) down before you approach her.  A relaxed environment/attitude in combination with a regular potty schedule seems to work very well to address the submissive peeing issue. Since Zuzu does so much hard work on learning new things and gaining her confidence, we make sure that she gets to play hard too. She absolutely loves when she gets to go out for runs, long walks and is a great biking companion as she runs along our side as we take a bike ride.
