Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Iris is a very, very friendly little girl who loves to play, cuddle, get belly rubs and give kisses.  Iris likes to play with soft/stuffed squeaky toys and sometimes a ball but Iris’ current favorite toy is either of her foster brothers who she loves to rough house with.  Iris sometimes get overly excited and jumps with joy but she is getting better.  Iris loves to take naps in her foster parents bed and her dog beds but she does not like to be in a crate/kennel.  Iris will cry and cry if she is placed into her kennel.  We are currently working with her to get her acclimated to a kennel.  Iris is a very good eater although she is slow since she has such a tiny mouth.  Iris walks well on a leash as long as you have a snug harness on her.  Due to Iris’ tiny size you have to be cautious of where she is as she likes to shadow people and tends to be right under or behind your feet. If you are looking for a tiny happy playful puppy who loves to cuddle than Iris may be a good match for you.
